O-Bits: Rebooting the Dead Edition

We get it. We really do. And of course O-Bits is interested in Day Of The Dead: Bloodline. That it’s a Bulgarian-American co-production with a Spanish director certainly piques our interest. But, c’mon. Does the world need a Day of the Dead reboot? If Abbot and Costello Meets Frankenstein were released today, would it be marketed as a “reboot” of the Frankenstein character? “We were really excited to see what we could do with the Frankenstein character in a comic context…” On the other hand, not sure if we would have any idea about it if not for the title, so there’s that. Whatever side of this argument you fall, you can check out advance stills over at Scream, which call itself the #1 Horror Magazine, and we have no reason to doubt them.

From the slightly unnerving statistics desk comes this tidbit: The Hankyoreh, a South Korean daily, reports the cremation rate of South Korea has risen to 87.5%. Normally, we think people choosing cremation is a good thing, but in this case, we’re a little worried. Is part of a trend, or proof that the people of South Kore figure that living in the shadow of Il Douché and Kim Jong-un means they’re only 280 characters away from incineration anyway, so why not take are of it now?

Finally, add us to the yes, please column  for Undertaker to take out the dead of WWE once again. We’re not even fans of WWF, but would watch if the Phantom returns to the ring.  DigitalSpy tells us the man who is also known as the Deadman (the hits just keep on coming with this guy!) will be on hand in New York to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of Monday Night Raw January 25, 2018. Will he step up for one more fight, or leave his fans out in the cold like Mario Cuomo did in the 1992 Presidential race? Stay tuned.
