Nostalgic for those days of pixelated, 8-bit graphics, but still want the modern zombie killing experience? Then may we direct you to Big Blue Bubble’s latest, Zombie Bloxx. With its nostalgic characters mixed with the latest in computer graphics, this looks to us like “Night of Of The Living-Dead Lego Movie.” But, the game-makers warn us, don’t let their cute appearance fool you; they want to tear you apart pixel by pixel.
You might figure out how to beat those video-game zombies, but how would you hold up in an actual zombie apocalypse? Gilcrist Muir, who Buzz.ie says teaches the “real science behind Zombie epidemics,” has some advice. The good news, he says, is that the “fast” zombies seen in movies such as “28 Days Later” are a scientific impossibility. Zombies—at least the real-life zombies he expects us to confront—are probably infected, and fighting off illness makes a body slower. So what should you do if you ever find yourself on the (slow) run from zombies? Get upstairs. “The part of the brain affected by the zombie virus mean they wouldn’t have good motor control,” he explains, “so climbing stairs would be difficult.” But how are they with elevators?
And finally, while there are no zombie, per se, on Game of Thrones, there have been scores of dead bodies. How many dead, you ask? Well, Screen Rant says there have been 174,373 deaths on the HBO show, so far.
