Steve Jobs would have been 63 today. But six years before his death, his diagnosis of pancreatic cancer fresh in his mind, he gave the commencement address at Stanford University. While many commencement speakers advise the newly-minted graduates on how to make the most of the start of their adult lives, the Apple founder had other ideas. His address dilated on death, and the short period of time we get to spend on earth.
Death is very likely the single best invention of Life. It is Life’s change agent. It clears out the old to make way for the new.
